Have your boarding pass ready and brace yourself for an enthralling flight over the Zwin plains, through the park's hut trail and into the permanent all-weather, interactive exhibition. Our migratory birds will take you on a fascinating trek. It will be a voyage of discovery full of surprises. Discover and enjoy the beautiful Zwin nature and get to know the area's special wealth of birds and plants. Het Zwin offers guided activities for both primary and secondary schools. This starts in the Nature Education Centre, specially designed for schools: there are workshops in storytelling, carpentry, lab and even a cooking class.

Important Notice

  • Advice:
    A visit to the Zwin is best planned on day of arrival or departure with your own transport. By tram and bus, this is a trip of almost 2h from Horizon (if everything goes smoothly). Outside peak months, the bus of De Lijn does not go as far as The Zwin!
  • Accessibility:
    *Please note that Zwin is hard to reach with public transport (certainly as a group!)

    - Transport to the Zwin Nature Park: Book the flexbus

    You book your flex transport in advance via Hoppin. Hoppin is flexible travel from A to B by coordinating different means of transport to reach your destination simply and efficiently. For example, to book a transfer from Knokke Station to the Zwin Nature Park. The Hoppincentrale is the central contact point for all public transport (enquiries). Via the app, website (hoppin.be) or the call centre (0800 12 2 12)
