Our school is a welcoming and large school with a strong focus on care children and non-native parents. What really sets us apart is our strong focus on following up and supporting a large group of SES children.
We came to Horizon after our previous holiday home, Calidris, closed its doors. Looking for a new location, we found Youth Residence Horizon through its website. Now we have been coming to Horizon for about ten years, and every time we are very enthusiastic. Moreover, it is close to Ostend and via a practical tunnel under the coastal road you can reach the beach, dunes and sea in no time.
The positive atmosphere and excellent follow-up on all things make every stay special. Moreover, the location is fantastic, the accommodation excellent and there is plenty of space to play on the domain. During our stay at Horizon we did several activities, such as the free Duinenspel, Katia the Sea Witch and a visit to Sealife in Blankenberge. The central area and large garden are our favourite, although a playground would be a nice addition.
The finest moment this week was definitely the time spent in class groups, where we got to know our students in a completely different way
Creative with paint
During our stay, we created very cute T-shirts with the students. In the handy spacious Vedettenzaal, this was very practical to do. Surely, the photos show a lot of creativity among our pupils.
