Horizon's renowned kitchen team provides hundreds of tasty meals for both young and old every day. Our groups agree; the food at Horizon is delicious! It forms one of the reasons why groups choose Horizon year after year.
Experience a balanced menu that covers all layers of the food pyramid. We consider it important to prepare everything fresh: from grating carrots, our homemade spaghetti sauce, to making fresh soup daily.
What's included?
With full board, the first meal you receive is the (hot) evening meal, followed by breakfast and lunch for every night you stay with us (unless otherwise stated on your contract).
Optionally, you can request a 4pm snack, consisting of a drink with a biscuit.
Operation
We operate a buffet-style service. Guests collect their plates and cutlery from the buffet, after which our staff serve the food for them. During the stay, groups are responsible for keeping their own dining area clean. Groups often organise a rotation of table and refectory managers.
Allergies / Diets
Our kitchen team consists of dedicated and experienced staff. The staff are adept at dealing with various allergies and diets, such as vegetarian, halal and vegan. With a weekly occupancy of an average of 400 hungry children, allergies and specific diets are an everyday challenge. We always strive to provide suitable alternatives.
To ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the meals, we kindly ask for allergies to be announced in good time. This way we avoid unexpected surprises or disappointments. Groups can communicate allergies up to 4 weeks before arrival via the control sheet, which is automatically provided to the person in charge. We look forward to providing everyone with a tasty and carefree experience!
